About Me (Education, Interests, Professional experience)
I hold a post graduate degree in Law.

I am currently the president of Centre for Human Rights and Climate Change Research. I also Lectures at the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa Campus, Bayelsa State.

Prior to this, I ran Lucia Emmanuel Consult, a research and training consultancy and before then worked with Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria as their Gender Officer.

My areas of Interest include Climate Change, Gender, HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming, Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development

What is your vision for a sustainable future?
My future for a sustainable future is a world where women and men are able to meet their needs and maximize their full potentials without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This include social justice, gender justice and environmental justice

About

The Women's Major Group (WMG) was created as one of nine Major Groups after the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio de Janeiro. This list serve is for members of the Women Major Group following the Post Rio+20 process (Financing SD, SDGs-post2015) as well as for members of the Women Major Group following Environment processes (UNEP). The Operating Partners (OPs) of the Post Rio+20 process that coordinate the group rotate periodically. The current WMG OPs are Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF) and Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN) supported by a core group including the Women's Environment and Development Organization(WEDO) and Global Forest Coalition (GFC).
