What is your vision for a sustainable future?
Dear sir/madam,
Since 2003 we, a small organization in the Netherlands named Stichting Mirre (Foundation Myrrh), support children in Gaza-city.
In the beginning this support consisted basically of clothes, drinking water, schoolmaterials, schooltrips etc.
In 2009 we started a cultural centre, a place where children can be child again. With making fun, creativity and extra education we try to develop large groups of children in a positive way. We are non political and the Palestinian team running the centre is only focussed on the development of these children too.
For the funds/sponsoring of the coming years we are half the way. Foundation ‘kerk in actie’ (church in action) funds the project but for a normal functioning of the centre we need additional support. My question is: will it be possible for your Foundation to sponsor this cultural centre in Gaza? For 2012 we need about USD 15,000.- extra funds.
Palestinian children suffer a lot from this ongoing violence, poverty and pressure, the Palestine Netherlands Cultural Centre offers them opportunities.
The team in Gaza produces Annual reports and of course we also can send you our plans for 2012.
Mr. Mahmoud abu Khaled is running the centre in Gaza together with his excellent team of volunteers.
Supporting the centre can be realized through us (foundation Myrrh/Stichting Mirre in The Netherlands) or through the team in Gaza directly.
Hopefully your foundation is willing to support these Palestinian children.
We believe in miracles.
What an Arabic spring it would be when your foundation will be helping these children.

Best regards,
Peter Meesen
