SUMMARY:AWRENESS RAISING ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND FOOD SECURITY
DESCRIPTION:The law income and disadvantaged communities, residing in 
 Manipur are open to increasing economic risk (Poverty) besides facing 
 the hard consequences of natural disaster and climate change. Deforest
 ation can lead the loss of livelihood for the communities due to land 
 degradation.\nA project on raising awareness on global warming and cli
 mate change among the communities by our organising media campaigns, a
 wareness workshops. Deforestation and poor awareness level of the comm
 unity about the climate change impact. The high level of human activit
 y such as farming, irrigation, electricity consumption etc. Is leading
  to some change in the weather. Sensitizing government officials and p
 rivate agencies on the climate change is also a relevant area of inter
 vention. A cause for Poverty and lift people out of Poverty to bring d
 own Poverty and reduce climate change affects. We believe that climate
  impact impacts equally on women and men. Women representing the poor 
 and the disadvantaged section of the society suffer to a higher degree
  from the consequences of climate change. Manipur is facing the hard c
 onsequence of natural disasters and climate change. The seasonal monso
 ons cause enormous pressure on the environment leading to unexpected n
 atural disaster like flood. Such events have caused severe damage to c
 ommunity life, floods and landslides have spoiled. Communities residin
 g in Manipur face a high level of economic risk due to the prevalence 
 of unexpected natural disaster such as floods and landslides. Although
  these natural are seasonal, yet the communities end up bearing liveli
 hood losses in addition to loss of life, housing and health. This is m
 ostly due to inadequate planning, lack of organizational skills, inacc
 essible markets and poor mitigation strategies. Under such a situation
 , The Socio-Economic Development Association proposes to implement a s
 et of interventions to reduce the climate change and global warming aw
 areness rising of communities living in Manipur.\nSUSTAINABILITY:\nThe
  project will build the capacities of the communities in assessing eco
 nomic risks, adopt coping strategies, reduce losses in addition to inc
 reasing livelihood opportunities through proper planning, quality prod
 uction, improved market access and collection work. The project will u
 se subsector approaches, promote new, agricultural techniques. Experim
 ent strong focus on women’s participation. As a result of this inter
 vention, it is expected that the community will acquire new skills to 
 increase their livelihood opportunities in a sustainable fashion.\n .
 \nGOAL:  Reducing the impact of climate change.\nOBJECTIVE:  Increas
 ing plantation in the Manipur, enhancing the understanding of climate 
 change issues (SMART) - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and
  Time bound.\nOVER ALL GOAL:  Reducing the impact of climate change o
 n the environment and on the livelihood of communities.\nOBJECTIVES: 
  1. increasing plantation of trees     2. Improve communities’ l
 ivelihood   3. Create awareness on climate change issues within the 
 community.  4.   Sensitizing governmental agencies and private sect
 or on climate change.\nSTRATEGIES:   It can be building the capaciti
 es of the community in planting trees and maintaining forest cover to 
 maximise their livelihood generation.\nACTIVITIES: It can be organizin
 g trainings, education classes, awareness workshops, meetings and othe
 r dissemination activities.\nRESULT: We expect positive impact over th
